How do I change my IP address?

I think the most commonly asked questions How do I change my IP address?

 Before trying any other methods to change your IP address, try turning off (or unplugging the power of) your Cable/DSL modem for five minutes. In many cases this will change your IP address. However, if that does not change your IP address, repeat the process for 8 hours (overnight works well) instead of 5 minutes. Hopefully this will result in an IP change.

If you are using a cable/DSL modem and a router, you may wish to connect your computer directly to the cable/DSL modem. Please note that this could significantly impact your system security. This allows your ISP's DHCP to issue you a new (hopefully changed) IP address based of the (hardware) MAC address of your computer's ethernet card.

How to Lock file & folder Without third party Software

Sometime we have to share our file and folder with others but we don't want to share our confidential file or folder.then we looking for Locker software to lock our confidential file.

I have set my password as password  ,replace it with your own password.

In your notepad  go to File and Save as  the file as lock.bat .

 Now go to desired file or folder which you want to lock , copy  lock.bat on desired file. click on lock.bat and a new file will be automatically created named Locker.

 Put all your confidential data in Locker folder and click on the lock file again to lock the folder. As you choose Y, the folder will be hidden and inaccessible by other users. 

 To unlock it again you simply need to click on the lock.bat file and type the password for it and the folder will be unlocked.

USB device not recognized (windows)- Solved !!!

As all the hardware devices have drivers associated similarly USB devices also have it. Sometimes proper drivers do not get detected after the initial installation so reinstallation of the drivers helps resolve the issues.
You may check after uninstalling and reinstalling the USB drivers if you are able to connect. You may disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps:


1.     ClickStart, and then click Control Panel.

2.     ClickSystem and Maintenance, click System, and then clickDevice Manager.
Note If Control Panel is in Classic View, double-clickSystem, and then click Device Manager.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or clickAllow.

3.     In Device Manager, double click to expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers", right click on the Host Controller, click "Uninstall" and click "OK".

Check if at all there is an exclamation mark along the driver, it suggests issues with the driver installed.

4.     Repeat the step 2 to uninstall all items under "Universal Serial Bus controllers".
Then, restart your computer and Windows 7 will reinstall all USB controllers automatically.

Following them I hope your usb problem will be solved..

Extending Windows 7 Partitions or Volumes

Today i will show you how to extend a Windows volume. In order to do this we must open the Disk Management tool where we can resize our volumes. The following steps will walk you through this process.

1. Click on the Start Menu button in the lower left of your desktop and then click on the Control Panel menu option.
   
   
2. When the Control Panel opens, click on the System and Maintenance category.
   
   
3. When the System and Maintenance category opens, scroll down and click on Administrative Tools.
   
   
4. Double-click on the Computer Management icon. The Computer Management console will now be open. Towards the bottom you will see a category called Storage and underneath that category will be the Disk Management icon as shown below.
   

5.  Click once on the Disk Management icon and you will now be in the Disk Management utility  as shown in the figure below. From this utility you can see all the partitions on your computer and  format, delete, create, expand, or resize them. For this tutorial, I am going to expand the E: partition so that it uses up the rest of the available space on Disk 1.

6.   To expand the partition, you simply need to right click on the partition you want to work with and select the Extend option. In this example, I right click on the E: partition and in the menu that comes up I select Extend.

7.   A wizard screen will appear as shown below. Press the Next button to continue.

8.    A new screen, shown below, will appear that allows you to select the available free space on your local drives that you can use to extend the space of the selected partition. It is important to note that Windows 7 allows you to extend a volume using free space on the same drive as well as other drives. I strongly suggest that you do not extend a volume on one disk with free space from another. This is because if one of the drives has a hardware failure, then all the data on that volume will be deleted.   Instead only use the free space on a drive that contains the volume you are extending

 As discussed in step 5, for this tutorial we are going to expand my 8 GB partition (E: drive) to the full size of Disk 1 using all of its available space. As Disk 1 is the only available free space on my computer, windows 7 will automatically select it as shown in the image above and use the maximum amount available to extend the partition. If there were other drives with free space they would be shown under the Available selection. If you want to extend the volume by a lower amount you can change it in the Select the amount of space in MB: field. Otherwise we press the Next button.

 9.  You will now be presented with a confirmation screen. If you are sure you want to extend the volume, press the Finish button. Otherwise, press the Back button to make changes or the Cancel button to cancel this operation

10.  When Windows 7 has completed extending the volume, you will be back at the Disk Management screen where you will see the volume you extended with the new size. An example of this is shown below.

 

Now you can close the Computer Management window as your task is complete.

In the age of computer, typing becomes  daily doings of everybody. By learning correct typing method we will be able to save our time & can be more productive..

Avoid wrong typing habits:

I think many of us are using same typing method since we started using keyboard.
Therefore, we can not use our all fingers for typing . STOP that habit immediately.

Learn the correct finger placement:

If you want to type fast and without seeing the keyboard ,you have to learn the basic finger
position of keyboard . Look carefully at the next time picture to see how your hands and fingers
should be positioned. Each of your fingers should rest on one Key only.
